Alternative Spring Break Trips

Each year, 25-35 members of the UConn Habitat Chapter go on a week-long alternative spring break trip called the Habitat for Humanity Collegiate Challenge. Our members go to different communities that are in need in the United States. The groups work with Habitat affiliates across the US and their local community partners to provide housing for those in need.

Check out our videos below to see highlights from our recent Alternative Spring Break trips!

Current Alt Break Info

Typically, Alternative Spring Break applications open in early October, after locations are revealed. Unfortunately due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our Spring 2020 Alternative Spring Break trips had to be cancelled a few days before we left, and there is currently no plan to continue the Alternative Spring Break process for the 2020-2021 school year.
